Thank You, Harrisburg

Harrisburg, you showed up.

On April 24, Disability Pride Pennsylvania and Thrive CIL threw a celebration on Herr Street that included face painting, a DJ, food trucks, and a whole lot of community. "We danced, played games, talked with vendors, and ate well!" said Vicki Landers. "Returning to Harrisburg has been amazing, and the work went smoothly thanks to Jahlysia and Mike from Thrive CIL."

"Disability Pride Pennsylvania Harrisburg was absolutely wonderful," said Jamie Clendening, 2026 Ms. Wheelchair Pennsylvania. "I got to see so many familiar faces, learn about different organizations, and meet and greet new friends along the way."

Rich Davis, a neurodivergent career strategist, felt it too. "Thank you Thrive Center for Independent Living, Brittany Boyd-Chisholm and Disability Pride Pennsylvania for hosting another amazing disability pride event in Harrisburg! Thanks Vicki Landers, Connie Vandarakis and everyone at Disability Pride PA for connecting our powerful community all across the State again this year."

It was our pleasure, Rich.

Thank you to our partners, vendors, and everyone who came out. And a special thank you to Brittany Boyd-Chisholm and the whole Thrive CIL team for being such great hosts.

See you next year!
