Join Philly Queer Birders, In Color Birding Club, Feminist Bird Club Philly, Philadelphia Center for Adaptive Sports, and Disability PA for a stationary birding event, the Little Sit, at Bartram’s Garden on Saturday, May 2nd 8:00am-11:00am! This will be a morning of intentionally accessible birding and we encourage people with all skill levels to attend (even if you have never been birding!)
Snacks and refreshments provided! Bring chairs, picnic blankets, and whatever will make you comfortable while birding!

Join us for Disability Pride Philadelphia where this year’s theme is We Belong Here and We’re Here to Stay!
Accessibility Features: ASL and visual interpreters, accessible restrooms, a sensory zone, lowered speaker output, and clear signage. We use an oversized park for better spacing, which includes areas for rest, shade, and reflection. Masks are encouraged and available at our tables.
Parade kicks off at 11:30 at the north apron at City Hall and festivities at noon!

City Nature Challenge Bioblitz

We’re joining Green Philly, Feminist Bird Club Philly, Andrew the Arborist, and the Philadelphia Mycology Club at The Woodlands for this year’s City Nature Challenge! Participants will use the app iNaturalistto explore the biodiversity of The Woodlands (an incredible green space located in West Philadelphia) all while participating in community science! Community science data collected through iNaturalist observations is key to help monitor urban biodiversity health.

Join us for an hour of afternoon stretching led by Connie Vandarakis!
Adaptive Yoga and Meditation
In this chair yoga event, we will explore gentle chair yoga paired with breathing meditation. Gentle Chair Yoga is a calming and accessible practice designed to promote relaxation, flexibility, and mindfulness with the support of chairs. Through slow, mindful movements, breath awareness, and gentle stretches, this class helps release tension, restore balance, and improve overall well-being. Ideal for all levels and bodies, including beginners, it encourages deep relaxation and fosters a sense of inner calm, while enhancing mobility and mindfulness. All are welcome!
